Time and energy, I never have enough. I did make time to get these videos onto my computer, they are fun. Hopefully I'll get better at this blogging thing. Or maybe with the slowing economy I will have less work, more time. Not the best scenario, but good for the blog. :)

REWIND to 4th of July

For the Fourth, I bought Genavie a cute little dress to go with some adorable red patent leather shoes I had. She hates wearing shoes, but I hoped she'd cooperate, at least for pictures...

Here I am, happy, patriotic, shoeless!











Hmm, I ditched the hat but mom somehow got this stupid shoe on me...













I hate shoes! Now I'm considering a tantrum.













So Mom gives in and takes the shoe off...

As for the Fourth of July, we had a glorious time playing at Grandma's house - hatless and shoeless.

Thank you so much, Geri, for starting this blog for Genavie! Now that I am taking over, I fear the quality (and quantity) may not be as good, but here it goes. :)

We will miss you!

I wish we weren't having to stop tending! It is really sad when I see things like the play pin in Kaleb's room where she slept & think I have to put it away now, or thinking about putting away the walker again. We will really miss loving on her! It was so fun to have a little baby around. Briana and Kaleb are both going to be in school now so that is why I decided to get a job. It has been 4 1/2 years since I have worked & even though it has been wonderful being home with my kids we have sacrificed a lot to do it. So it will be nice having a second income once again but it will be a huge change for us to get use to. I am so sorry that me working is making it to where we can't have your sweet baby here anymore. We have really enjoyed her & want to thank you for trusting us with your little angle. I know it must have been hard when she was so tiny at first. I hope you don't mind if we always stop you at church to talk to her.

This is Kaleb's little bouncing horse that is in our family room - cause let's face it, he isn't going to stop climbing & bouncing so I just try to give him appropriate things to do it on besides my furniture. But it turns out all the kids love the tramp & horse in the family room - even Genavie!

Wednesday morning 7/23/08

She went crazy when I gave my kids licorice - so I finally gave in and let her suck on one! It made her pretty happy!

I wish I got some pictures after she had it for a while! She was covered! Briana loved her red nose when she was done!

Tonight was really fun with Genavie! We went for a walk & she loved the swing at the park... BUT she did HOLD ON TIGHT!

This is so sweet - I thinkyou should blow this one up - HUGE - and frame it! This one makes me want to try to get a picture of my kids with me like this - but they are pretty tall - I don't think it will work :)

I wish I had cute pictures to share

I really wish I had some cute pictures to share but my camera --- well you know from other posts --- isn't working! But here's what we have done:

Last Wednesday...

We had a blast! We went to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point! It was so hot that we put sunblock all over her - including her hair! - Which I am sure made a lovely hair-do for the plane ride (sorry). Genavie just chilled out and enjoyed the stroller ride seeing the animals. She was pretty relaxed & tired so when we showed her the animals she didn't care much but it would have been cute to get a picture of it. She enjoyed watching the kids more then the animals.

Today (Monday)
We just hung out here at home... pretty boring! But some days a mom just needs to get some house work done :) So she chilled out in the walker by me in the kitchen while I did dishes. When she is on the tile she has figured out going backwards in the walker, so I don't think it will be long before she catches on to going forward! Then we had her on her tummy for quite awhile trying to get her to reach for the elmo doll she LOVES... she would move around a lot but did NOT like it when we tried to show her to go up on her knees :) Her new favorite toy for the day was the calculator - man she loved it & when she dropped it off the walker she got pretty upset & let us know that she wanted it back.

She had a GREAT morning nap & was very playful all day! I love that she is so use to us and happy while she is here. Thanks for letting us play with her!

Monday July 7th

My camera isn't working... I think I have had too many little kids (Kaleb & Briana) playing with it! But here is one little video I got.

Genavie had a great morning & afternoon nap! She pooped twice - happy girl :) She ate Bananas & apple baby food. She loved the walker we got for her - even though she hasn't figured out how to get around in it - I don't think it will take her long. She also loved swimming today - she kicked like crazy & splashed! She doesn't even mind getting splashed. She was so super good & happy today! She loves being outside!!!

Thursday July 3rd

Look at me . . . I am such a BIG girl!!!

Thursday after Genavie's morning nap we went to Lunch at JCW's in American Fork. Chris had the day off so we were out having fun! Genavie thought it was pretty cool to be sitting in a high chair next to Kaleb. However she wasn't to sure she liked the fries - it took a little convincing.

This is Briana at lunch with Genavie - of course Briana HAD to sit next to Genavie. She truly enjoys every minute we have babysitting her.

After going to lunch, we went to Walmart to buy a new pool. Our other pool we had had since Briana was Genavie's age but it got a crack in it a couple weeks ago & we were missing it like no other! With this heat we needed one today! Walmart was sold out of them of course! So we went to Target - they were also sold out of them! Dang! We were pretty disappointed because we really wanted to get home and let Genavie swim before Kristin came to get her. Then Chris thought to check Big 5 and they had one --- SOLD! It took us a little longer to get home and we were pushing it to have time to let Briana swim with Genavie before Kristin came & got her!

Right as we got her home to our house - put her CUTE suit on & plastered on the sunblock - and right then the door knocked! Luckily her mommy stayed and let her swim! Briana would've been broken hearted if she didn't get to swim with her!

As the water got higher - she decided she wanted to stand and not sit anymore!

Monday Morning.... 6/30

Genavie was happy when she came today and fell right asleep at 9am. She only slept for about 1/2 hour. Then she palyed with Briana & loved a little Dora doll we have the sits up and sings while her head moves back and forth. Genavie Loved Dora!!! Then right before lunch she fell a sleep after she had a bottle and slept for almost an hour. When she woke up - my friend had shown up with her little kids for a swiming/sprinkler party in the backyard. Genavie loved watching all the kids play outside, and giggled alot! Then we feed her and her mommy came not long after.




These are some tired eye pictures of Genavie eating again. She ate a half of thing of apples and a half of thing Bananas.






Genavie doing her snorting laugh she was doing all morning... we caught it for just a minute on video but she really wants the camera so it is hard to video tape her.

Friday June 27th

So... You might get sick of the same eating/lunch pictures everyday, but we really have fun feeding her. Plus today she slept a lot! So this is pretty much the highlight of her awake time :)

She REALLY likes the sweet potatoes - Prunes did not go over to well the other day, I think she is glad we went back to sweet potatoes!

As you can see... I would love to video her eating because I love putting the little videos on, but it just wasn't working.

This is my favorite picture!

Genavie had a major poopy diaper first thing in the morning and lets just say it was enough to change all clothing & wash it - plus we ended up bathing her since it was up to her shoulders.... She loved the bath tub & wasn't to sure why we would take her out. Then we dressed her in some of Briana's old clothes. She felt great after eating, pooping, and her bath - and played for a good long while. She didn't fall asleep until 11am and normally she always takes a nap at 9am - she was tuckered out! She slept for 2 1/2 hours! yes - hours! She normally sleeps only about 30min for us.
When Genevia came this morning she was "Happy & Bouncing" is what Andy said. So... everyday first thing Briana does is run to the couch and asks to hold her. I took Genavie over and put her on Briana's lap just like usually & Genavie started to cry and looked at me like - hold me, save me! So I picked her back up and then Briana looked at me and said "mom, her dad said she was bouncy and happy... what happened?" How do I tell a 5yr old that it is because she doesn't want you - she wants me! Oh... you can tell we miss a little baby being around and Genavie is getting a little more attention then sometimes she would like.

Wednesday... Watching Barney

I just saw this picture on my computer and thought I would put it on her blog so you could see it. Briana always wants Genavie by her - so I put her down by Briana & to my suprise --- SHE LOVED IT. Usually she doesn't like me to lay her down. I mean - she is a BIG kid now and can SIT :) but she got so excited and happy over Barney. It's funny how much the kids really do love that purple dinosaur.
